Description: Southern end of Lydebrook Dingle (NE side), 1 m. N. by W. of Coalbrookdale Church. Looking N. Basement conglomerate of the Middle Coal Measures. Composed of rounded blocks of decomposed basalt and Lydebrook Sandstone set in a zeolitic matrix. The conglomerate rests unconformably on the Lower Carboniferous (D1) 'Lydebrook' Sandstone and indicates the pre-Middle Coal Measure age of the Little Wenlock Basalt.
