Description: South Tyne (W bank), 350 yd. NNW of Eals, about 1 1/2 m. SSE of Lambley Station. Looking NW. River cliff section in Upper Limestone Group of the Carboniferous. The beds between the Pattinson Sill and the Firestone Sill of the Upper Limestone Group are here typically developed. A number of beds of impure ferruginous limestone and calcareous sandstone, separated by beds of shale, form the 'Venture Bands' of the Brampton sequence.
