Description: Forrest Head Quarry, 1 1/2 m. S. of Hallbank Gate. Looking SW. Anticline in the Great Limestone (Carboniferous Limestone Series). A thrust is seen developing in the steepened south-eastern limb of the anticline. The lower beds are folded much more acutely than the higher beds. (See also No. A4101.)
