Description: 400 yd. E. of How Mill Station. Looking N. Sand-pit in glacial sand and gravel and 'boulder clay'. The boulder clay is made up almost entirely of St. Bees Sandstone material with occasional pebbles of Lake District lavas. It is sold as a moulding sand, after mixing with a proportion of the overlying sharp sand.
