Description: The Farnham Gravel Co.'s sand and gravel-pit, 1/2 m. S. by W. of Farnham Church. Facing SE. Terrace gravels of the old Blackwater River. The far side of the pit (in the middle distance) shows about 5 ft. of brickearth resting upon gravel of the Lower Terraces of the old Blackwater River. This, in turn, rests upon false-bedded ferruginous sand of the Upper Folkestone Beds (see also A3763 and A3764). Pits in the uppermost of the Higher Terraces of the old Blackwater River can be seen near the skyline.
