Description: Llyn-Moelfre, 2 m. W. of Llansilin. Looking SSE. Llyn-Moelfre, a landslip-dammed lake. In the foreground is the alluvium on the site of the lake when it was larger. At the far end of the lake is the barrier of fallen debris - Llandeilo shales and sandstones - by which the water is held up, and the gorge by which the lake has been partly drained. The fallen rock came from the slopes of Gyrn-Molefre upon the left.
