Description: From near Llansilin. Looking NE. Coed-cochin; escarpment of Cwmclwyd Ash. The ash, in several faulted sections, caps the wooded escarpment, forming a shallow syncline with axis almost east-and-west. Bare slopes upon both sides of the wood and along its base are of Llandeilo shales, etc. (Mynydd-Tarw Group). The valley to the left is that of Afon-Cynllaith.
