Description: From near Glan-yr-afon, Llansilin. Looking ESE. Escarpment of Cwmclwyd Ash; Parc-Sycharth and Mynydd-y-bryn (Denbigh). On skyline in centre is Mynydd-y-bryn, passing into Parc-Sycharth on the right. The escarpment consists of a thick series of (Cwmclwyd) ashes (Caradocian), overlying poorly-cleaved shales and sandstones of the Mynydd-Tarw Group (Llandeilian). The wooded eminence on the left skyline is the intrusive keratophyre of Graig-wen (Shropshire).
