Description: From about 1/2 m. S. of Pont-Sycharth. Looking NE. Escarpment of Cwmclwyd Ash, Parc-Syncharth, Llansilin. The hill is capped with Cwmclwyd Ash (base of Caradocian), dipping south-eastward and overlying Allt-Tair-ffynnon Beds (Llandeilo). On the left is the valley of the Afon-Cynllaith, traversed by a fault that has shifted the outcrop of the Cwmclwyd Ash for considerably over 1 mile southward upon the east side. In the centre is 'Owen Glendower's Castle' (site), fashioned from a monticule of boulder clay.
