Description: Burton Bradstock, E. end of Burton Cliff. Cliffs of Bridport Sand. The cliffs are of the upper part of Bridport Sands (Upper LIas), capped by several feet of Inferior Oolite Limestone. The horizontal-bedding gives rise to a vertical cliff face. The resistance to weathering of the hard ribs of calcareous sandstone in the Sands, is well shown. See A5849.
