Description: | Man o' War Rocks and Cove, and St. Oswald's Bay, from Durdle Headland. Looking E. The Man o' War is a half tide rock formed of Portland Stone. On the left is the Chalk. Between the Chalk and the Man o' War the Gault, Wealden and Purbeck are recognizable on the ground, but squeezed into about one quarter of their proper thickness. All the strata are nearly vertical. (Repeat of A1322). |
