Description: Scaleber, near Settle. Scaleber Quarry Limestone overlain by boulder bed. Northward-dipping Scaleber Quarry Limestone (Holkerian) forming the lower part of the outcrop, is overlain by a reef derived boulder bed (P2a-b age). The outcrop where the figure stands is an inverted block of reef limestone containing Upper B2 goniatites. Bowland Shales and Pendle Grit (Pendleian) form the skyline.
