Description: Left bank of Cowside Beck, just below the Malham/Arncliffe road, 1800 m. SW of Arncliffe Church. Yew Cogar Scar, Cowside Beck. The rocks seen here are Carboniferous Limestones of Dinantian age. The steep crags at the base are in dark limestone grading up into pale and show the characteristic profile of this part of the sequence. Some features are offset due to faulting.
