Description: Clints Quarry near Leighton. Looking NE. Massive coarse-grained Lower Brimham Grit (Kinderscoutian, R1) is overlain by mudstones with a sandstone band. Boulders further uphill are derived from the Upper Brimham Grit which underlies Druid's Plantation on the skyline. Stone from Clints Quarry was used to face the Rounndhill and Leighton reservoir dams and to build bridges and houses on the site.
