Caption: Woodale Scar (western end) Upper Nidderdale.
Description: Woodale Scar (western end) Upper Nidderdale. The two grassy depressions running away from the observer are gaping joints affected by cambering, or partial collapse downhill (towards the right) of the huge grit mass on the right. The cliff in the background is on a joint running at right-angles against which the badly foundered ground terminates. All the exposure is in Red Scar Grit (Namurian E2).
