Caption: Dove Scar, Penhill. Looking SSW.
Description: Dove Scar, Penhill. Looking SSW. The Main Limestone forming the conspicuous crag of Dove Scar. The slopes below the limestones are chiefly in mudstones of the Underset Cyclothem in which a band of roofing tiles has been worked in opencut and levels on the more distant slopes of Penhill (beneath grey screes). In the far distance is Buckden Pike with a capping of Namurian sandstones and shales of E2 age.
