Description: Dowber Gill. Looking ENE. An exhumed potholed surface of Dinantian age located in Great Scar Limestone 12 metres below the base of the Hawes Limestone. A band of pale grey pyritic mudstone up to 30 cm. in thickness occurs underneath the overhang to the right of the hammer.
