Description: Malham Cove. The cliffs of Malham Cove in Great Scar Limestone (S2-D1) stand at the southern edge of the Askrigg Block, on an area of dales country with nearby flat-lying Carboniferous rocks. The Mid Craven Fault which traverses the lower ground is the northern boundary to the folded rocks of the Craven Basin. In the distance to the right is Rylstone Fell in Millstone Grit folded in a syncline.
