Description: Close-up of well-rolled beach gravel of the 8 m. raised beach. The beach gravel is composed of well-rolled pebbles of slightly porphyritic granite with a few larger blocks of angular granite. The beach has a matrix of medium sand and several of the pebbles in it are well weathered. The beach rests, with a poorly defined junction, on gravelly head which contains some well weathered blocks of granite in a matrix of angular quartz sand.
