Description: Beach gravel of the 8 m. raised beach resting at a steep angle on structureless head. At the base of the section a water-worn surface of granite occurs. The head rests on this surface and is completely structureless; it is composed primarily of platey fragments of microgranite in a clayey matrix. The head is succeeded unconformably by a raised beach gravel of granite pebbles up to 0.2 m. thick, which also contains a large angular boulder of granite. The beach gravel rests at an angle of 20 degrees to the horizontal on the head, as an original depositional feature, and is covered by a later head.
