| Description: | Sediments of the 8 m. raised beach between two preglacial deposits. The section shows 0.3 m. of well-rounded beach gravel resting on sandy head. The beach gravel can be seen to lens out over the top of the granite projection in the right centre of the photograph. The beach is succeeded upwards by 0.2 m. of sandy head formed from redistributed beach sand, which in turn passes up into gravelly head. |
