Description: Fault zone at La Coupee. La Coupee, a narrow isthmus 90 m. above sea level and only 3 m. wide, has been formed by marine erosion along a major north-west - south-east shatter zone. The faults have been the zone along which hydrothermal fluids passed, kaolinising and silicifying the rocks.
