Description: The tor in the middle distance marks the 1171 m. summit of Ben Avon, beyond which is the rocky headwall of Garbh Choire. The photograph particularly illustrates the vast extent of the granite-based plateau and the well-developed tors of Ben Avon and those which form the Barns of Bynack on the extreme right. Cairngorm plateau and tors. A view aligned west from just east of Allt an Eas Mor which encompasses three of the major Cairngorm summits, Ben Macdui, Braeriach and Cairngorm on the skyline.
