Description: | Oblique aerial view of Upper Glen Prosen along the line of Glen Doll Fault, Angus. Fault-controlled valleys and upland glaciated Dalradian scenery. Looking north-eastwards from upper Glen Finlet, across Glen Prosen to the Clova-Prosen watershed. The incised valley (fault 'nick') immediately above the forestry plantation in the right foreground and the linear valley housing the Kilbo Burn (centre middle distance) are excavated along the line of the Glen Doll Fault, one of the Great Glen suite of strike-slip displacements. The 820 m. erosion surface is also well illustrated. Cliffs on the north-east side of Glen Clova (right middle distance), Mount Keen (right background) and Morven (left background) can also be identified. |
