Description: | The line of contact runs approximately left to right across the picture through the middle of Loch Dochard. The Starav Granite is a body of medium-grained leucocratic monzogranite that was forcefully emplaced into the centre of the Etive Complex, an elliptical composite Caledonian pluton. Looking west from Creag an Taillier area shows Moine schists of fore and middle ground in contact with the granite which forms Ben Starav and surrounding peaks in background. |
