Prominent subhorizontal-bedding in Dalradian schists can be seen in the cliffs in Glen Orchy. The area around Glen Orchy forms a broad antiform, taking the form of a broad dome. It is part of the Central Grampians Complex. The peaks in the top right-hand corner of picture are in Ben Cruachan granite, part of an elliptical composite pluton, the Etive Complex. |
