Description: | The limestone forming these scars consists of a hard compact series of calcareous beds mostly of a light grey or bluish colour without division by shales or clay. From a study of the zonal fossils Mr Cosmo Johns states that the limestone at the foot of these scars is practically at the base of the series. |
