Caption: Attermire. [Settle Excursion.]
Description: The Attermire Rocks owe their existence to the Craven Fault. The Southern Craven Fault runs from Ingleton through Clapham and Austwick to Settle forming the Giggleswick Scars. Thence it continues in a due easterly direction by these Attermire Scars through Malham and across Wharfedale and dying out on the moors between Pateley Bridge and Ripon.
