Description: This quarry supplied the necessary information (strata and fossils) for definitely removing the so-called Warminster Upper-Greensand fauna from the top of the Upper Greensand to the base of the Lower Chalk (J. Scanes, 1916). Added note: Chalk Marl, Glauconitic Marl, Phosphate Bed.
