Caption: Fossil Forest, Lulworth. Swanage Excursion, May 14th 1910.
Description: Where a prostrate trunk has been enveloped the dome assumes an oval form. When the mass has weathered away that enclosed a prostrate trunk it has the appearance of an open coffin. This ledge giving a wonderful view of the fossil forest shows the strange forms assumed by the tufa.
