Caption: Lulworth Cove. Stair Hole. Swanage Excursion, May 14th 1910.
Description: This remarkable section shows how much the strata are disturbed. Here the beds are much broken and cemented by veins of calcspar. The shales squeezed up in the central part of the Cove open out towards their outcrop at the edge of the cliff and are in some instances slightly inverted. Added note: Middle Purbeck, Lower Purbeck, Portland Stone.
