Description: Immediately above the Avicula contorta zone is a thin argillaceous limestone known as the Insect bed. This forms the base of the White Lias beds while the top of the cliff is formed by the Lima Series of the Lower Lias. Added note: White Lias, Insect Bed, Planorbis Bed, Avicula contorta zone, Bone Bed,Tea Green Marls, Keuper Red Marls.
