Caption: Burrington Combe. Bristol Excursion, April 19th 1919.
Description: The Rock of Ages. It was whilst taking shelter from a thunder storm in the 'cleft' of this rock that the Rev. Augustus M. Toplady of Blagdon composed the well known hymn 'Rock of Ages cleft for me'. He died in 1770 aged 38.
