Caption: 'Chalk Hole Lenacre', one mile SSE of Stone. Excursion to Greenhithe, April 20th 1912.
Description: The peculiar intercalation along the planes of bedding of some layers of brown sandy clay, in places 8 inches thick and in parts rather finely bedded. This had not been deposited with the Chalk but had filtered through vertical fissures and spread along the lines of bedding.
