Caption: The Vale of Belvoir. . Nottingham Excursion, 10th May 1913.
Description: Gypsum mine at Cropwell Bishop (situated near base of Hydraulic Limestone escarpment). The gypsum deposits are found near the top of the Keuper Marl. It is now won by driving underground galleries along th thicker and richer beds.
