Description: The above sections show London Clay 1ft. To 18ft., Basement Bed 3 ft. Below this the Woolwich and Oldhaven beds which consist of two members of the upper part alternating beds of Clay and Sand 24 ft. thick, the Lower Pebble Bed seen to a depth of 38 feet. Added note: The chalk has been carted here.
