Caption: At Charton Bay the entire sequence of the Rhaetic Beds can be seen. Excursion to Lyme Regis, June 2nd 1914.
Description: The beds are bent into a gentle anticline at the base of which traces of grey marls with reddish tinges may be detected. Above come the grey marls with shale beds, greenish marls and laminated mudstones. Then the Black Shales followed by mammillated Landscape stone and capped by White Lias. [People].
