Caption: Lyme Regis looking West. Excursion to Lyme Regis, May 30th 1914.
Description: The town is built on the clayey portion of the Lias which is seen in the upper part of its cliffs. The limestones or Blue Lias are not seen in the town being bent downwards in the trough of a synclinal curve which bends the beds down to sea level.
