Description: Uamh Bheag and Uamh Mhor, about 7 km. north-east of Callander, Perthshire. Almost horizontal Lower Old Red Sandstone conglomerates of Lower Devonian age in the core of the Strathmore Syncline, between Callander and Stirling. The Strathmore Syncline is a very large structure in the northern part of the Midland Valley. It can be traced across almost the entire width of Scotland south of the Highland Boundary Fault between Loch Lomond and Stonehaven.
