Description: Neidpath Castle, 1.6 km. west of Peebles, Peeblesshire. Castle built on cliff forming north bank of River Tweed. Looking north-east across the valley of the River Tweed (flanked by trees in the middle distance) to Neidpath Castle on the north bank. The castle is still occupied and can be visited by arrangement. Jedderfield Plantation in the left distance lies on the north side of the A72 Peebles - Biggar road. The Tweed is the major river of the eastern borders of Scotland and forms the border between Scotland and England for several kilometres near Coldstream.
