Description: Wood north of Pleanbank, 6.4 km. south-south-east of Stirling, looking south-east, Stirlingshire. The 100 ft. raised beach, plain, and its margin against wooded cliffs of the Cadgers Loan Sandstone. A fault along the cliff face bringing massive sandstone against alternating sediments has produced a differential topography further emphasized by glacial scour. During the '100 ft.' beach times, this hollow was filled up by at least 26 m. of gravel.
