Caption: South end of Sauchie Craigs, North Third Reservoir, 5.6 km. south-west of Stirling, looking from the north-west, Stirlingshire.
Description: The top of the line of mounds in the scree to the left and again slightly to the right of the centre marks old crop workings of the Murrayshall Limestone (the base of the series). Calciferous Sandstone lavas occur in the foundations of the dam. Columnar dolerite sill escarpment, above sediments of Lower Limestone Group of the Carboniferous Limestone series, partly concealed by the scree.
