Description: Caithness mountains looking north from border of Sutherlandshire. A distant view of Morven, Smean, and Maiden Pap, mountains of conglomerate forming part of the base of the Lower Old Red Sandstone of Caithness. Part of a panorama with C01993. North of Scaraben (on C01933) the Lower Old Red Sandstone forms an irregular outcrop along the western margin of the Caithness plain, with two westward projecting tongues into these hills and the hills of Ben Alisky district (seen in the far distance in C01993).
