Description: Morrich More, 4.9 km. north-east of Tain, Ross & Cromarty. Sand advancing through wind-eroded temporarily fixed dunes. The migratory nature of the dune is clearly visible with the large lobe of sand being blown out of the dune area over the lower-lying land to the left. The whole Morrich, a low-lying, postglacial and recent strand plain covers an area of 30 square km. and is marked by a long-term progradation north-eastwards since the height of the Flandrian transgression 7000 years ago.
