The road in foreground (now the A83, Arrochar to Inveraray trunk road) is covered to a considerable depth with silt washed out of the landslip material. Ben Donich is the snow-covered peak in the centre skyline. The steep slope on the left is the northern side of The Brack. Steep slopes, high rainfall and unconsolidated material are a combination likely to lead to landslips, as here. |
