| Description: | These mountains lie in an area of intense folding called the Western Grampians Complex, they formed during the 3 or 4 major phases of folding and dislocation in the Caledonian Orogeny. The long domed ridge in the background is Aonach Mor. Mountains of folded Glencoe Quartzite, the folding being greatly obscured by scree. The spurs to right are of mica-schists of the Leven Schists. Glacial deposits in foreground to right. Part of a panorama with C01830. |
