Description: Frosts and torrents have been a major influence on these cliffs. They have picked out lines of weakness, so forming great gullies with debris sent down to build cones of scree on the lower slopes. Part of a series of photographs making an overlapping panorama of the north-west cliffs and butresses of Ben Nevis from photograph C01794 to C01801. Cliffs of andesite lavas and agglomerates of the central part of the Ben Nevis Complex showing the contrast between the smooth slopes of the ice-moulded valley bottom and the frost-shattered cliffs above.
