Description: Craigahullier Quarry. Looking SE. Old quarry, Craigahullier. The Interbasaltic Bed which outcrops at the level of the excavator, plunged steeply into a deep hollow in which it included up to 16 ft. of lignite. All the overlying Tholeiitic Basalt lava and the lignite have now been worked out, and the hollow is used for the main crusher of the quarry, seen in the foreground.
