Caption: Giant's Causeway. Looking NE.
Description: Giant's Causeway. Looking NE. Roveran Valley Head and Spaniard Rock. The foreshore in the foreground is underlain by the Interbasaltic Bed which rises to the east and is seen as a light-coloured band half-way up the cliff, over the dark well-marked flows of Lower Basalts. The lighter weathering Tholeiitic Basalts form the upper part of the cliff but the west face of Roveran Valley Head is formed by a massive dolerite dyke.
