Description: Craigtown Beg, 280 yd. E. of Port Gallen. Looking NW. Volcanic vent and dyke in bedded lavas. The foreshore consists mainly of basalt lava flows, the top one of which can be seen in front of the figure. The large irregular masses of basalt west of the dyke are part of the agglomerate filling of an irregular vent.
